Opposites Attract! How to Incorporate Men's Wear...

and make it look lady like!

Have you noticed a trend of guys wear on stylish ladies? Unsure as to how to give it a try? We decided to give it a go and loved the different looks that were created!

What kind of men's clothing are we talking about?
Large white shirts,
Large flannel shirts
Vests
Ties
Fedora hats
Belts

As we mentioned in our previous post on the Boyfriend Shirt,  we like to scour the shops for large shirts that can be canvases for a new and stylish outfit. Second hand stores, flea markets, or stores like the GAP, Old Navy and Zara, sometimes have great finds.
If you are feeling adventurous and want to give it a go here are a couple of looks we put together:

The Miss 'I'm Headed to Art School' Look

Try a man's flannel shirt and accessorize it up! Charlotte pairs the checkered shirt with solid blue skinnys. She decided to make it more girly by wearing very lady like nude heels and a skinny belt. She also added her dainty gold and leather bracelet and drop earrings. A straw fedora completes it, and voila Charlotte is ready to go out!

The Miss 'Victorian Forever' Look

Leah feminizes a large and usually frumpy flannel shirt, with her delicate vintage pearl collar. We found this in the Madonna House gift shop and learned that women used to wear pearl collars over cardigans and other shirts. We love it! So incredibly lady like. The flannel shirt suddenly becomes classy and revamped. Leah also has girly pink skinny's and her fake leopard print heels. Wearing her hair in a loose romantic updo, adds an overall very pretty flair to Leah's romantic outfit.

The 'I Want to be at a Concert' Look

Try tying a scarf like a tie!
Our dad is our resident tie- knotter and thankfully managed to tie an excellent knot with our bird print scarf! We love this idea and are going to definitely wear knotted scarves this Fall. We decided to start practicing those tie knots, and so found this video:
Easy Instructions for tying a tie
Oxford leather heels, lots of bangly pearls and my favourite flowery ring, add a feminine touch to an otherwise manly outfit.

There you go ladies! Dig through your dad/brother/ man in your life's closet and see if you can put together a fun new look for Fall! Have fun!
