Art in progress..

"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." Pablo Picasso

After our sister's wedding, all of us looked at our wool, fabric, paint etc and said: "Now what?" We had spent so much time and effort creating all of the fabulous projects like: pew bows and flowers, that our own projects became a little bit dusty.
Lots of rest and plenty of tasty treats later and we have been back at it!
Today we thought we would share with you our art projects in progress..
*some more finished than others*...: )

Leah was given all this lovely charcoal grey Cascades Superwash  for Christmas. Our mama thoughtfully purchased all the yarn and the pattern needed for her to make this sweater: Toulouse Pullover. The best part is that she is almost finished! Leah is on the homestretch, and only has a teensy bit more knitting to do. The Cascades yarn is very soft, and the grey colour is perfect for fall! We can't wait to put it together in an outfit...it's going to be beautiful.

The Spring/Summer for Charlotte is a time of art shows, which means lots of selling for Truly Charlotte. She usually does most of her creating during the Fall and Winter months. That being said however, recently a new Charly's Friend came to life and he is too cute to not share with you all. Mr. Giraffe is made out of recycled fabric and is stuffed with a 100% sheep fleece. He is not quite finished yet, but will be soon and then ready for the next show come Christmas.

My project is still in the very beginning stages, as I have yet to still wind my tangled wool. It took me awhile (and a few ripped out projects later) to decide on what to work on next. Charlotte and I had been browsing Wabi Sabi when this gorgeous cowl patter popped out at us: Fino Circle Scarf. As you all know by now dear friends, we Daisies love our scarves. We just find them the perfect way to dress up any old outfit.
This cowl is huge, easy and exactly what I want to wear come Fall. My fingers fell in love with the softness of the Manos Fino mint green wool. It is a combination of Merino and Silk. Now I just have to get started...

Do you have an art project that you are working on? What is it? Share with us! We love hearing from you.
