DIY Cotton Circle Scarf

Are you tired of your plain old scarves? Need something to jazz up an otherwise boring outfit?
Try making a very easy, but oh so pretty circle scarf!

Last week I came home from work and the lovely Miss Charlotte had on a new pink circle scarf. She was feeling like she needed something colourful that day to jazz up her outfit, and so made her own circle scarf.
What exactly is a circle scarf? It is a large piece of cotton sewn together in a big loop. It is light and perfect to wear in summer. The circle scarf also can be a great cover up.

How to wear it?

We found this on American Apparel. As much as we love the circle scarves, we wouldn't try the last few..a tad bit risky for our taste.

How to make it?

Charlotte's Circle Scarf

You will need:

approximately 2 meters of jersey cotton or fabric of your choice.
sewing machine
thread
pins
large area to fold fabric

How to do it:

1. Lay out your fabric and fold in half. Pin the cut sides together
2. Using your sewing machine sew them together, creating a large fabric loop.
There you go! You can experiment with different fabric, sizes etc. 2 meters gives you enough fabric to loop it around nicely, but switch it up if you like. The circle scarves can be smaller, bigger etc. If you happen to use a fabric with stripes, make sure they line up : )
 Have fun!
