Charlotte was excited when she recently found these sparkly babies at Forever 21 but was horrified when she was saw the price! For four elastics it was approximately seven dollars!!
These fold over elastic hair ties are popular now and can also be found at American Eagle and Walmart. They all have one thing in common though-the ridiculous price!
There had to be a way for the creative gal to make her own! Charlotte searched around the interweb and found her fold over elastic here and paid less then a dollar a yard. It is exactly the same quality as the ones we found in the stores!
How to make them?
1. First purchase the fold over elastic of your choice! We love the aqua and the gold glittery elastic! So pretty.
2. Measure and cut 9.5 inches of elastic
3. Tie the ends into a knot. We like a side knot. Make sure you leave about an inch at the end.
4. To keep your elastic from fraying, light a candle and hold your elastic next to the flame. The heat will seal the ends.

Voila finished! Give it a try! These elastics make great gifts...wink wink ; )
