An Inspiration List

It is late August and the evening air has just a hint of Fall chill. These last few days of summer are so tempting to make us just want to nap, read  and lay in hammocks all day long. We love to do all those activities, but sometimes they make our creative selves a bit lazy and we need a little inspiration to create. We need a push off our comfortable hammocks and back to our projects. In order to get our creative selves back to action we like to look at a little inspiration first. So today we share with you:

An Inspiration List

Mmm that delicious drink featured above! It's sparkling wine and our favourite cranberry raspberry cocktail. Pretty and tasty too!

Julia Cameron   always inspires us, not matter how crummy or uninspired we feel. She is full of creative wisdom, and has a new book for all you creative mamas: The Artists way for Parents .
Julia Cameron has so many quotes that are little pearls, like this one: " Life is a creative endeavour. It is active, not passive. We are the yeast that leavens our lives into rich, fully baked loaves. When we experience our lives as flat and lacklustre, it is our consciousness that is at fault. We hold the inner key that turns our lives from thankfulness to fruitful. That key is 'Blessing"

The late summer sunlight. It reflects and glows in such a way that we just have to stop and stare at the leaves, the flowers, the sunglow is everywhere! We discovered the picture Sunset feeding time and love it!

This neat idea of making aged paper candles. We grew up making paper invitations, cards, etc and love this creative idea of using the paper to jazz up candles. It's a lovely centerpiece idea and one we can't wait to try.

Fascinating firefly long exposure photographs that are so creative! Did you know that fireflies glow, dance, flash their lights to attract mates? Pretty neat!

The artist Phoebe Wahl and her incredibly detailed watercolour illustrations. We love all the family scenes, especially the one called 'Bedtime'. So beautiful!!

And if all else fails, take your lovely self outside and go for an Artist Date! Go for a walk, browse through jars of vintage buttons, listen to your favourite musician, basically anything that sounds like a fun.
